General Motors announced today that it will invest $100 million in the Tonawanda Engine Plant to produce a new diesel engine, a first for the plant and an innovation for the world’s No. 1 automaker.
Building the engine will preserve 150 jobs and extend the plant's viability. The engines will go into the Silverado and GMC Sierra pick-ups and the Hummer H2
Call me an A$$hole and a newb for digging this thread, but where did that $100 million dollars go if they ended up not even producing the 4.5L small Duramax engine.

I could have had a 5th gen Camaro with a 4.5L diesel rockin 600 ft-lb. of torque!!!??? or just as good, a 1500 Silverado with plenty of towing capacity???

Wtf?
