sounds to me like they forgot to install the cable that keeps the top tight on top the window. That's what happened to me. there is a steel cable about the diameter of a bicycle brake cable that runs from the front of the top , to just behind the middle rear quarter window. you should be able to see it just where the rear quarter window starts to curve.
