Hi rudack,
The 16579 has a smooth deep tone and the 16580 has a loud aggressive tone, I should have the sound clip for 16580 anytime. The HP gains should be similar for both systems and both have a Lifetime Warranty.
What are your future mod plans? I think that is a determining factor as well.
