Hey guys I am currently about to start work on design and building of my own cold air intake and have a quick question.

I am used to a MAP only system and havent really worked with MAF at all just wondering if the location of the sensor on a true cold air matters. The real question is can I leave the sensor in the stock location and pipe the filter into the well or do i need to extend the sensor down to right behind the filter?

Any help would be much appreciated.

And if anyone is interested it is going to be all aluminum 4 inch piping with custum aluminum Windshield fluid res.
