I'd say if you know how to drive your car, full-bolt ons would put your car ahead of him.
Also - L99 - LS2 and LS3 Vettes weigh around 3150-3200lbs, closer to 3200 from the factory. Auto SS's weigh in over 3900+ lbs, which yields a 600-750lb weight difference depending on options in each car. That is a hell of a lot of weight to make up when the Vette still makes more power, especially if it is an LS3.
