I had no issues getting around town in the snow because having the clutch makes it a lot easier to "feel" the road and how slick it is. I drove normally -- took off in 1st gear, etc. I had no issues, but we haven't gotten a lot of "big" snow falls in the Detroit, MI area.

I have a stupid question. What does taking off in 3rd gear do? I drive a v6. Does that matter?
