You should have your engine de-sludged with butyl cell solve and switch to ELF or Mobil One 0W-40 oil. But, only if it meets Alfa's specifications!!! NEVER use bulk oil found at the local quicky lube. Most of those oils have NO specific specifications. They WILL clog up oil galleries and lifters. Ask for proof that your cam are bad before you start buying parts. Most foreign cams NEVER go bad. They are all race tested and proven. Usually, the worst part of the foreign car is the owner, and their ability to read and understand your auto repair manuals.
