HI all - first post, LOVE this forum!!

I am not an audio tech-buff by any means, but know that I need to make some improvements to my audio, mainly to give the bass a nice boost. Is there anything else I need to / should do in order to make the audio a little better?

I have the 9speaker 245Watt system, I know I need a sub. I like to listen to electronic music, house, techno - and usual radio so I need a system that caters to both tastes.

Looking for some layman guidance on what I ought to do.

Would you guys suggest I took it to Chevy for their sub-package, or take it to an audio specialist and ask them to do the work?
