Two time Howe Racing V8 GTA Champ Randy Walker is off to another great start in 2013 with two overall and V8 GTA class wins on March 30-31 at Carolina Motorsports Park. The V8 Series was running with the South Carolina Region SCCA at their annual Buck Muse Memorial event. Walker, driving his Walker Properties Camaro led from the pole both days, with only LG Motorsports GT2 class winner Randy Kinsland able to even keep him in sight. Kinsland from Whittier, North Carolina, driving his CrossRoads Motorsports prepped C5 Corvette took the GT2 wins both days.
Grovetown, Georgia's Randy Gay picked up a PitBoxes.com V8 SPO win in his Salon Surreal Monte Carlo while Bob Gomer of Rutherfordton, North Carolina got his first Crane Cams V8 SC win in his Moonshiner's Garage V8 GT-1 Camaro On Saturday. Long time V8 competitor Mark Davis, who hails from Lexington, South Carolina took home his first Porterfield Enterprises V8 GT-1 class win in his familiar Camaro.
Walker leads the Howe Racing GTA class with 92 points, while Dillon Machavern, despite not be able to compete at CMP still leads Porterfield Ent. GT-1 with 48 points. Randy Kinsland, by virtue of his double wins at CMP now leads LG Motorsport GT-2 with 48 points over Cameron Lawrence with 44 and Keith Goldin at 41. Gay is the leader in Pitboxes.com SPO by 4 points over Eric Servick.
