Yes, the lug nuts are one place where its very important. I'd recommend picking up one, since it likely that this won't be the last time you need it. You'll want a larger size (i.e 18+ inch handle) and 1/2 inch drive to get the leverage you need.

I'd have to try and guess at 140 ft-lbs... I bet it wouldn't take much over that to snap off a wheel stud. Plus its important that they all have the same torque to put even pressure on the brake disk.
