What kind of NA power to expect from built V6 - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

So what are the options to build a nice forged setup with ported heads intake throttle body, LT headers etc, Could we stroke this motor ? I would like to know if anyone done this. What kind of HP could you expect ? Feel free to post up any pics or info to someone who can build a bad ass motor.

Define what built means to you. An exhaust, headers, intake, and tune might mean numbers like devildoc. If you want to add a cam and some engine internal work, we might be talking something different. What do you mean by built?

keep an eye on bmwdon's car in the thread devildoc pointed out. (you could read the first page or two for info and then skip to the end to catch up lol) He is going to be running a CAI, Headers, exhaust, ported intake/ throttle body / heads, and a tune on his LLT. Only thing he has left to add is the heads and a tune I believe, but talked like it may be later this summer or fall before he gets to the heads.

We don't yet know the numbers he is currently putting down either, but we're all looking forward to it.

The engine's built with 312 HPs........after that you are on your own researching and experimenting.

Ported heads
New cam setup
Ported or new intake (Sheet Metal) ?
Ported TB
Long Tube headers
Forged Pistons
New Rods ?

Guess I am considering two options:

Option 1: Build a forged motor that can take N20.

Option 2: Build same motor but for boost, The Supra can make 800-1000 HP why cant we ?

u can get power out of any motor! thats why im i baught the v6.. the price was perfect and i like a challenge

a better question is how much money to you have to spend for ___ amount of hp.....with the funds you could make 1000hp its all money

Their is something great locked into that high compression direct injection! Someone will find it and lets hope its cheap lol.

There is a Marine on Camp Pendleton here in California that is putting down more rwhp with his 2LT than my bone stock LS3 did. It's possible, you've just got to find the right set up. He did cam, head rework, LT's, CAI and a tune.

He didn't do cam..he did cams, as in 4 of them. I don't think anyone has even custom cams available yet. So, we call

, and want to see dyno sheet! And track times!
