When your Camaro makes you look stupid!

Got my 2SS washed yesterday, got back home and put it in the garage, got out and saw a long skinny scratch running the length of my hood!

After standing around bitching for 10 minutes I decide it isn't a big deal since I'd like to buy a new Showstoppers hood but I drove back to the car wash to tell the manager that his guys need to be more careful. I was real nice about it and since the manager knows me and my family (we all bring our cars to him for a wash) I didn't say anything I would regret and he apologized and offered to touch it up but I told him to forget it since I'm gonna get a new hood.

Here's the funny part...I bring my Camaro to the dealership just to see what it would cost to fix a scratch running down my entire hood (dammit!) and the service guy takes one look and says "looks like something sticky!"

"Huh? A sticky you say? A sticky something even!"

The service guy wiped the unknown sticky X off my hood in 5 seconds and I felt completely and totally ****ing stupid!

Let me use that smiley again...

After regaining my composure I drove back to the car wash and apologized and bought the guys lunch and we all ate pizza while we killed stupid hopefully once and for all.

Oomph!

Are you guys having a much better day than me?

Sadly.....

Reading this made my day. Not because of the "scratch", but moreso for your ability to admit your mistake, and apologize to people. There are way too many people that can not admit they made a mistake these days.

Thanks for reaffirming some of my belief in the goodness of some people.

Glad that's all it was. Not too many people would have gone back to the car wash. So did the pizza have crow as a topping?

Today I went to lunch with friends in my friends passat and when we got back to school he parked next to me and we saw that someone threw a full soda at my car, I left school and went home and cleaned it before it completely dried. Everyone thinks I'm stupid for leaving school to clean my car but they don't understand...

That was a stubborn sticky something, I tried wiping it in my garage and walked away convinced it was a scratch. Being protective of my Camaro kinda encouraged the stupid in me.

My ears are ringing.

I would've done the same. Only other Camaro pilot's can understand.

When I got my car last year I thought the AC had crapped out. I even went to the dealer and they said it was a touch low on FREON. But it still didn't work right. I later realized that the I had to press the little snowflake icon to turn it on.

Haha! Only recently I found out I have heated seats. I didn't know what the middle button was for on the environmental controls so I pressed it, heard and felt nothing and thought something was broken.

A minute later I felt the heat come through on my back and ass and thought "Doh! That's what that button is for!"

Hmm...you guys are being nice today. You all setting me up for something?

This is like the Truth Getter from the Inquisition asking you about the weather before he demands your confession. You guys are scarring me.
