I banged the rear of my car, significant dent. :-(

Parking in a garage and a concrete column pops up out of no where. :-(
It's like an 2 inch wide and high on the left portion of the nonexistent bumper.

What should I do now. I'm so distraught I can't even think straight. :-(((((((

Should I go to the dealer mechanic? Should I call my insurance people?
Looking at it I guess the rear is all one piece? The whole thing needs replacement? how much is that gonna cost?

I just wanna die.

Calm down...I would not call insurance company until I had a better idea about the cost of repair.

hold on its just the bumper? depending on your deductible, you could buy a bumper here for cheap and have it repainted. Im not sure about the rear facia but the front facia sells for 280 brand new here.
Is it beyond repair?

Yes I'll post pics. But insurance or no? And i feel Bit suicidal right now. I've never felt so slumped over.

Should I go to a body shop or my dealer mechanic? I just wanna give up and be homeless and rot. I feel like crap.

I bumped my wife's car in the driveway and put a nice stripe and scratch on the rear bumper cover, cost was $600 to fix it (althought the insurance company estimated $1000, no replacement of parts just a repaint of the bumper cover, can't even tell it happened. By the way I let the chevy dealership fix it at their bodyshop, they did a nice job!

You'll be ok, these cars are not bumper friendly with the shallow visibility but hey that's also why I love the car!

You will be fine. Call the insurance and they will send you somewhere to get an estimate..or send someone out. Just chill..your baby will be fine soon enough.

Can't really say until we see pics, but I wouldn't rule out homelessness.
