1LE Lurker
Been on this forum a while lurking and reading all info on the 2012-13 Camaro SS's. Made up my mind i definitely wanted a 1LE. Well tomorrow i will be test driving a 2012 ZL1. Manual of course with under 10K miles. What should i be looking for? Anything this car doesn't have that the 1LE does, i wouldn't think so, well not mechanically anyway. Looking forward to finding out what 580 HP feel like.

If you are wanting the 1LE it is better to drive a 2SS if a 1LE is not available to be driven so you know what the power feels like. Guaranteed you drive the ZL1, you will be hooked on all that power!

I have driven a 2SS manual 2013 but not a 1LE. Understand the 1LE and ZL1 are two different beast other than HP just wondering how much different. Thanks for your info.. Being a motorcyclist i understand being hooked on power.. HENRY |

with the diving intrusive detection system engaged (Torque Management), it will seem very tamed..... yet thrilling non the least... Oh.. nd if you get a chance to drive with it off..... hold on tight...

Don't test drive it or you will buy it. 10K miles isn't that bad assuming it wasn't driven in the snow and if you get a smokin deal.

I have driven an SS and the ZL1 has way more power but the 1le has a little lower gearing. hear is what the ZL1 has for me. 1. mag ride - drive over bad surface in tour wile your test drive. it is prettly livable. then drive back over than in sport you will see what I am talking about. it is like have a livable car and fairly ridgid car in one. 2. looks for me personally the Zl1 is the best looking camaro isnce 1969 to me. looks are subjective though but I like it better than a 1le hands down. 3. durablity vs ease of mods. this car mods easy and does not have a week point until 650whp+. 1le is a pretty good combo too I though about buying and modding but just didn't make sense in my case. I really wanted the 1le with an LS7 then that car would be a farily direct comparison in terms of wow factory.

============================================ So far it has only been in sport mode. Figured i'd drive it in that mode for a full tank of gas. To me it is not a rigid ride at all. I could probably live with it in that mode. |
