I GOT BLAMED FOR THIS!!!!!!

Ok, when I came home from work yesterday, I pulled into the driveway in 1st gear, pulled up as close to the garage door as possible w/o hitting it so my daughter could get her car out of her parking spot. I turned the car off, left it in 1st, but did not set the e-brake. A couple of hours later, my husband came home and we were leaving to go to his mom and dads for a while. He gets in, starts the car, puts it in reverse, and then went to adjust his seat. His foot slipped off the clutch, the car jumped and hit the garage door, the only damage is small white paint smudges on the apex of the bumper. I got blamed cuz I didn't set the e-brake!!!! How was this MY fault????? BTW, how can I get the paint smudges off my bumper---any suggestion?

Once he got behind the wheel and started it up, it's all on HIM. TOTALLY not your fault.

Well the husband is always right (even when I'm wrong I'm right).

At least that's what I tell my wife.

If daddy ain't happy no one is happy!

You really should always leave it in gear + ebrake. I mean I personally prefer the weight of the car to be resting on the brakes instead of the tranny but that's just me =]

You ladies need to start putting the toilet seat up.

:slice:I've never set the emergency brake unless I'm parked on a hill. Hubby screwed up when he started it and put it in gear before adjusting his seat. What's he doing driving your Camaro anyway? My wife hardly ever drives my Camaro. I think he just lost his Camaro privileges!:slice:

Tell him he can now drive this

Try to use wax on the smudge or if you have paint thinner that will take it right off maybe even goo-gone will work. When your using the wax just put some elbox grease into.

I've always parked everything with a manual shift in reverse, with e brake set.. BUT once he sat in the car, he takes full responsibility for his actions. being that close to the garage, he should have set the e brake and put it in reverse before he even turned the key.
