I post there a lot!

So about halfway jokingly a couple weeks ago, I decided to go look at a 6th gen SS just because I had nothing better to do. I had dreamed of owning one since they were revealed in the new blue color, but didn't figure it would happen, plus I was pretty happy in GhoSSt, my 2010 SS.

Turns out, it's really hard to look at one of your dream cars and be able to walk away, especially when the deal works out just about as close to what you want as you're gonna get.

So that day I came home with my brand new, right off the truck with 9 miles, 2017 1SS, Bad Blue. Blue came with the 8 speed auto and NPP exhaust on it.

And being the '17, it's nice to see they threw in a little Fiftieth Anniversary flare. (Ignore my pasty legs)

If the total blackout of my 5th gen wasn't a sign, it should be known that I am not exactly a fan of a whole lot of chrome on my cars, and have a tendency to black things out and add black accents all over.

Less than a week after owning Blue, I had the hood vinyl wrapped satin black. Up next I'll be having the wheels powder coated satin black as well, hopefully this week.

Took the car to Texas Motor Speedway to run an eighth on Friday. Got two solid test runs in then fell on my face when it counted.

Brighter note, I learned today that the A8 DOES have launch control, and it's brutal!

More pics hopefully Friday, Blue is getting the wheels powder coated satin black to match the hood!

Someone in the 1LE Facebook group posted a video of him drag racing a blue gen 6 there last weekend. Was that you?

If it was a white, red, and black 1LE then probably! He's a buddy of mine. He was swearing I had it as we pulled up, but I kept telling him that I don't know my car yet so I figured I'd botch it like I did. Was a fun night though, and he was on point with driving his car all night!

Bad Blue is a badass car and no doubt fast as hell. I didn't know how to launch my car when I first got it, so it was to be expected with him. He's a good driver and no stranger to track/drag racing. But those A8's take a little getting use to at the tree. I'm trying to find the video of the modded 6th gen that I raced after him.

Thanks! I'll be looking to CAI soon probably. Had one on my 5th gen SS and loved it, figured I'd go the same way with the 6th gen!

And the wheels are finished! Took a bit of time after work today to take a couple pics.

Also discovered the NPP fuse pull today, pulled it before leaving work and loved that it didn't get quieter at cruise. Gotta be loud!
