Just drive it for a little while. That light surface rust will wipe away while braking.

Just do a harder stop at a few stop signs, you'll be good.

As stated above, normal driving will take it away. It's going to happen alot when it rains.......

I'll echo whats been said, the first time you drive and hit your brakes it'll be gone.

Then wipe your wheels off because some of the dust may get on your wheels.

Well stopping is obvious. I use a piece of foam when I wash to tuck in behind the wheels. Use the gardening pads they sell at any Walmart, Menards, etc. Cut them to fit behind your wheels and then the water doesn't hit them. I hated cleaning up the drips of crap after washing.

This is a new product that is being mentioned on some of the detailing forums. I personally have never tried it.

Since my car is not a daily driver after a wash I take it down the street and do a few stops to clean the rust. When I get it back home I wipe the wheels down again before I put it in the garage and throw the car cover on it.

If you leave the rust on the rotor and drive it later you will notice on your wheels rust and brake dust. The pads cleaning the rust off the rotor will create more brake dust.

You wash the wheels and wet the rotors ...you drive the car and remove the rust..the wheels are dirty....a vicious cycle....my solution....my wheels are chrome...I don't wash them...I polish them....when I wash the car...to avoid wetting the rotors or wheels...I cover them with large trash bags...I slit the bag across the bottom and down one side....slips over the tire and wheel ....now I don't have to clean my wheels every time I wash my car...labor saver....I'm all for that

If you don't clean the wheels when you wash the car, how do you remove the brake dust? Or do you clean the wheels more than you wash the car?
