How Soft Are The Camaro Car Covers?

It is tough keeping the Camaro clean. It is very dusty in North Texas.....even in the garage. How soft are the new factory car covers? I don't want to hurt the paint with an abrasive cover.

Haven't taken mine out of the box it came in yet. It is suppose to be made of a parachute material without a backing on it, so I would say not very soft. There is always a higher risk of sratching the car if you are putting on and taking off the cover on a regular basis.

After seeing the Camaro car cover in person and inspecting it I opted to get the California car cover instead. The Camaro car cover was hard (IMO) and surprisingly the interior of the cover was similar to the exterior of the cover...meaning the inside could easily scratch the paint. It lacked the padding I felt the cover needed on the inside. I got the Noah Cali cover.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!

In all seriousness though, this may be a dumb question... but I have never even thought about covers before. I live in an apartment building, and have a covered garage spot. To make a long story short, the guy next to me cant park for shit.. and I dont want any door dings when i get my new Camaro.

Do they make car covers with thick internal padding/reinforcement for such scenarios ??

You could put some these on your car. But if he knows you have them on there, he may just swing his door open even harder thinking that it won't hurt your car.

I would be interested in pics of the Noah Cali cover too.

I've been wondering about the car cover and how soft it is and if it will scatch the Camaro.

I emailed Scotty to get his opinion, but haven't heard back yet.
