Finally, everything I ordered is in. Whipple, CAI, and Stainless Works 2" headers. Is it really necessary or worth it to ceramic coat the headers. I personally kind of like the looks of the blue/brown discoloration of stainless after its been through the heat cycles. But will I regret it if I dont ceramic coat? I mean, I guess I could always just take them off and do it if I ever wanted it later. But if it is really a "no-brainer" decision, I will just get it over with before hand. Is heat really that big of an issue with uncoated headers?

Ceramic Coating the headers will help keep your temps under the hood cooler. It is for that reason that we ceramic coat our intake tube and insulate our airbox, to reduce heat soak from the hotter air in the engine bay. The cooler you can keep things the better, and the less heat soak you will have to your IAT. Let me know if you have any questions, and thanks for choosing Cold Air Inductions Inc. for your intake, take care!
