1/4 v6 times - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I have talked to multiple people about this and we are all curious why there are so many people with half the mods I have (listed in my signature) and they are running under 14's in the 1/4 mile. If this is the case shouldn't I be running around a 13.5? 13.6? With the v8's making around 360hp to the wheels and a 13.0-13.1 and I'm making right around 300 it seems about right.

Trap speeds are better indicator of HP. ET's are more of a function of 60ft traction/shifting/torque.

For example...I've seen 600 hp cars run 12-13's at 130mph due to poor launches, poor shifting habits and poor traction.

What are your trap speeds?

simple. its all about the conditions. Most of those run where there is great DA.
