CUSTOM BOWTIES: JUST SOME RANDOM HELP!

For anybody looking to add a kick to their bowties, I've found a pretty reliable, safe, and inexpensive way to go! Just left the local wrap shop in my town (Charleston, SC), and Chris at Wrapstar Studios did a matte black finish on the bowties for my Black Camaro. Charged me $40 bucks, said that it will last me a MINIMUM of 5 years depending on how well I take care of the car. For the '14 drivers, even left the texture the same! Only charged me $40 bucks, which is less than a lot of the vinyls you can get online to DIY.

Just a little help to spice up your Camaro!

Looks great. I did mine with a $10 can of Plastip and am quite pleased with the finished project. Lovin' those blacked out bow ties!

Yeah man, it looks great, don't get me wrong, that being said you can find DIY vinyls for much less than $40.00, look on Ebay. That being said, it may not last you 5 years, (mine has been on a year with no signs of any issues) but even with replacing it twice you'd be at about 30 bucks tops. Here are some for $9.00 shipping included.

Leave the man alone. If he's happy, I'm happy. They did a good job on it.

I did mine myself. I had some extra black vinyl from another project. Use a hair dryer and a hobby knife. Took me just a few mins.

I tried the white vinyl but just couldn't get it to turn out the way I hoped. It looked fine 10ft away but not great up close. So I just ordered a custom painted white set from North American Tuning which costs about $100. About 3 weeks and they should be here.

I actually went to the "shop" at my local dealer and they told me that the "flowtie" can not be purchased unless you have a valid VIN for z28. I straight up told them I would just ask someone on the forums to PM me their vin. I couldn't believe they seriously wont sell the part unless you own a z28. Anyone wanna PM me?

Looks good!

I'm cheap and had some leftover carbon fiber 3M vinyl, so I made a paper template of the bowtie (it's just a big "+" sign with the horizontal ends cut at an angle), then cut out the vinyl and stuck it on. It's tough to hide the gold underneath, but it looks great from 2 feet away and the front and rear bowties are the exact same size.

I love my front bowtie and until recently I was able to get the rear one.
Hopefully this weekend I can install it.
