I use some water wetter in my Intercooler system and added a bottle to my cooling system. It does work. best cooling would be straight water with water wetter but if you are in an area that freezes you can't do that. Really if you have a cooling system that is efficient all you need is a lower temp T-stat. I have no issues overheating with my setup on stock cooling system.

If it's maintaining temp in line with your T-stat than it won't make a difference. I'd run it in the intercooler though. If you have one.

We used to run it in our 360 sprint car motors because standard coolant was not allowed. Some nights we had to block off a portion of the rad to keep heat in the heads. I know it's comparing apples to oranges, but it does work.

I use it to help prevent electrolisis and corrosion in the radiator

I've ran it in the intercooler as well, haven't had a need for the engine coolant though. I would run pure water with the wetter all summer, then I would just make sure to flush and replace with regular coolant as winter set in. Forgot one year and my system froze and broke the impeller of my IC pump. I got lucky, could have been worse.

I ran it in my old car years ago and I didn't notice a single difference. Running straight distilled water would be just as good probably.

Water wetter and straight distilled water works awesome if you are having cooling issues. I had issues keeping a blown 4th gen firebird cool. I had electric water pump, aftermarket rad, lower temp t-stat, still would run hot in the dead of summer. Drained out the coolant and ran 2 bottles of redline with distilled water and I was amazed at how much cooler the engine ran

In my IC system I didn't see any major differences in temp during pulls, but during spirited street driving, temperature recovery was faster.

I use Redline or Lucas.
BUT NEVER USE DISTILLED WATER. Softened tap water is fine. Here is why on distilled water: "the problem is that when water is distilled, or “stripped,” of its minerals and impurities, the resulting solution is composed of chemically imbalanced “ions.” This leaves distilled water “ionically hungry,” so it will actually strip electrons from the metals in a cooling system as it attempts to chemically re-balance itself. As it chemically removes electrons from the metals of cooling system components, distilled water eventually does extreme damage that could lead to cooling system failure." |

Everybody see post number 11. Spoken like a true chemist (which I am). I was going to tell people about the hydronium ions, but I didn`t have to.
