Exhaust flap noise

Hello,

I have installed a flap exhaust system on my Camaro. According to the vehicle registration original GM flap exhaust. I assume that it is the ZL1 exhaust.

When starting the flap is open and then closes. But I can also open/close it manually.

Unfortunately, the exhaust/flap makes very strange and annoying noises when I open and close the flap.

Does anyone know what this is due to?
Or do I just have to work with copper spray every month?

Attached are two videos to help clarify the noises.

Many greetings

You are correct, that exhaust was available on the manual ZL1, 1LE, and SS. The factory system works off of vacuum to manipulate the valves in the exhaust. How are you doing it manually.

When my flaps activate you do not hear them, I do not believe I have heard of anyone else having this issue with the factory set up.

Maybe someone will chime in who has had a similar issue. Good Luck.

It is the normal ZL1 exhaust with Mild2wild module.
