Any rumours, facts, etc. on 2013 conv. prices?

I've been hearing chatter of $70-75K for a ZL1 convertible. If that's the case I may be cancelling my order and stepping up to a 2013 Corvette 427 edition convertible at $77K.

Well, pure speculation by my dealer when I put down my deposit, but I was told that there would not be a price change for the '13 ZL1s (very minor if any) and that I could generally apply the '12 SS vert differential to a '12 ZL1 coupe price.

So for example, in Canada the '12 ZL1 coupe was $58K.....add the vert difference of $6,865 and then your choice of options. My '13 ZL1 vert calculates out to $74,992 CAD out the door (includes taxes). I would think the US pricing would be around $68-70K taces in depending on your options.

I hear ya on how that price is creeping way high and close to the Corvette. I like you would LOVE to get the '13 427 vert Corvette, but the only pricing suggestion I have heard is that it would be around $90K (3LT optioned) USD, so that would make it $100K CAD....ouch!! An extra $25K is even more crazy than the $75K for the ZL1

Where did you hear $77K USD for the 427 vette vert? I didn't think the pricing had been announced yet.

I would just look at the differance between an SS hardtop and a SS ragetop. I'm betting the ZL1 will fall somewhere along the same increase for the vert.
Firehawk my wife and I went this past weekend and saw the falls and then went over and visited Toronto on Sunday. I could not get over all the constuction going on in your city. We really enjoyed the boardwalk along the beach and checking out all the little shops. Was alot of fun seeing both the falls and your city. I just wish I had more time to see Oshawa and the Camaro factory.

I would be shocked if the 427 vert was 77k. I have read up on it and I am guessing 85k at least because it talks about having the mag ride, extra carbon fiber, etc. who knows though.

by that math a 6speed zl1 vert could be had for 63,160+taxes if you have them. Now if you want an auto then it is going to go up quick.

When I ordered my ZL1 Vert at the dealer back on 4-19 we talked breifly about the price, and we both estimated that the Vert will probably run around $5k over the price of the coupe. That's basically the same as happened when the 2011 Verts came out, so I'm guessing a ZL1 Vert will be right about $70k.

This one just sold and they'll sell more just like it for this price.

As for the ZL1 convertible, I was planning to order it with an auto, ECF hood, NAV so I assume I'll top out at $70K+.

Man, that is an amazing price for an awesome car!

For the ZL1 Vert, I am thinking it's going to end up in the mid-$60K range at MSRP.

Well for 2012 ...

the 1LT vert is $4,900 more than the coupe
the 2LT vert is $5,750 more than the coupe
the 1SS vert is $6,010 more than the coupe
the 2SS vert is $5,420 more than the coupe

So I'd expect that GM will add at least $5k and probably more like 6 grand. If they're greedy it might be 7 grand. At any rate, I wouldn't plan on it being less than 60 grand. I also wouldn't plan on it being in the low 70's either

get the 427 then. If they will do supplier price like that. I figured they would not. I got supplier price on my 2013 ZL1 so you could look for a dealer to do that.

the 427 vert should be faster than the ZL1 coupe let alone the vert.

buying a ZL1 vert for 70k vs getting supplier price ont he 427 vert is a no brainer to me. one will imedialty depricate and one should hold its value well.

IF I would have got a 2012 ZL1 it would have been the first car I have ever paid MSRP for so in one way getting bumped worked out finacially for me.

Could be closer to $7K! I'm only thinking that because of the extra heavy dutyness it may need for the extra speed!! But I have no idea!

My guess, compared to the SS Coupe/Convertible difference is that the pricing would be around $68k-$71k USD, but take care that in 2013 it will be the same story as this year's ZL1 Coupe price hikes at some dealerships, and the story with the limited car numbers produced bullshit.

I have my name on the list for a 13 Vert, at a local dealer. With everything still up in the air, I think I am going to hold out till the 2014 run. I hope by 2014 everything will be smoothed out. It looks like the 13s are going to be just as crazy as the 12s?

Even more, since it's something about owning the 2nd most powerful convertible in the world (1st is the Bentley Continental GT) that would make even me wanting to buy one.
