General questions. 2011 Camaro 2lt Rs loaded

Hey I have a few questions about my camaro. First off I see there are two different v6 engines. What is the difference between them, and how do I tell which mine has?

Second- My factory halos seem to be not bright at all. Whats a way to beef up the brightness?? How easy is it to switch to an aftermarket halo.

Third- How do you replace rs emblems with ss emblems?

Fourth- I'm looking for Rear quarter window louvers, to paint either yellow or matte black. I'm also looking for fin stripes, and dual exhaust tips for each tip. And a rear end Black decal.

Thank you for all responses

1- The 2010 & 11 comes with the LLT engine, 2012 started the LFX. I know the LFX has 11 more HP and comes with an integrated manifold so headers cannot be put on. Not sure of the other differences.

2- No way to brighten them unless you change them. There are a few DYI's in the DYI section on how to do this and who sells the kits.

3- You don't have an SS, so why would you do this?? If you wanted SS emblems you should have purchased an SS.

4- If you have a stock exhaust you CANNOT add quad tips, there is not enough room behind the mufflers.

The SS is just for looks. I planned on changing out the mufflers anyway if that fixes the issue with the tips. Thanks for responding!.

I have a v6 and love it, but why pretend to have a the SS v8 when you dont. Show your v6 proudly.

1. 2010 and 2011 had the LLT, 2012+ had the LFX
2. Not sure you can do this, but there might be an aftermarket replacement. Look through this lighting(http://www.camaro5.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=37) and see if there is a vendor that has something.
3. Trade in for a SS.
4. Again, you'll have to go aftermarket. Take some time browsing the various sections on this site.

If I changed my mufflers to improve sound quality, would there be enough room for the tips?

Think you would need a different diffuser, but not sure.

Yes. Just cannot go with Corsa or you'll have the same issue.

Felix - Speeding in my SS!

I wouldn't put the SS badges on either. It's so dishonest since there are substantial difference between a V6 and and SS.

Youd be better off switching the R and S letters around, so you have an 'SR' - the SS guys are going to ride you hard for mentioning the SS swap.....

You can't. It isn't possible AND it is very illegal in all states to falsely pose as a Super Sport.

This! And... we don't want you to get your doors blown off by a Mustang or a Cummins Diesel truck and having people think they can beat a Camaro SS.

Please don't false-badge.
