Flowtie? for ZL1?
Hey guys! question. I know the SS guys have made their own flowties after the SS-X but we have a new grill pattern how can we make flowties?

There is another thread on this with a link for a DIY flow tie. I'm going to give it a try with my front one as the gold bow ties just look odd to me on a CRT car.

Easier to remove, but the flow tie still shows brand marketing, that's really all it is.

I don't want to remove the emblem, I want to take it off. Plastidip it red and put it back.

Attention to detail and pushing tech limits is great on the part of Chevy. But when I first saw the flowtie on the home page all I could think of was that Chevy will do almost anything to make sure the Z/28 is just that much faster than the ZL1 to justify the price difference.
Now don't get me wrong, I'd love to have a Z/28, I really would(not going to trade my ZL1 for one). Nothing cooler to me than a 427 Camaro. I hope by some magic that the 5th gen isn't the last time in history we see that. Anyway, I didn't like the gold bowtie either, so I went with black on a black car.

When I read that article my first thought was "please don't let this flow tie thing catch on".
It's the cheesiest name on the planet and is a straight gimmick. Come on guys. I can't believe people are going to consider this a performance mod. If your after this thing for performance you'd just remove it. Great example people will buy anything that is new....now what's that part # |

My take on it is that if you want to have the a bowtie on it, and you're looking for the slightest performance enhancement (more air flowing into the radiator, thus cooling more efficiently) why not, as well as wanting the classic Chevy bowtie on the front. Personally, it looks cool and it opens it up to adding lighting modifications very easily for those that wish to do so. I don't think that it's so much a gimmick, but another modification enhancement.

Am I the only one thinking air would flow better without anything up there, even the flowtie? Just remove all the badges from the front.
