shocking discovery when I took my wheels off
Took my rear wheels off tonight and when I did the axle retaining nut on the passenger side fell off when I pulled the wheel off. It had backed off entirely and was just stuck in the hub of the wheel. Comparing the RS and LS the RS axle has backed off around an inch compared the the LS. Car just turned 15k miles so never expected to see something like this. Glad I took wheels off!

Get out the brake clean and sand paper. I have a 2014 and during a brake pad change I decided to inspect the hub. Plenty of rust

When you put the nut back on you need to crimp the nut into those two slots, this will prevent it from backing off.
