LS3 Daily Driver, Torn between 2 systems

I need some advice, I'm torn between the Borla ATAK and the S Type cat back. So far I've installed the Solo High Flow cat, but I'm looking for a little more noise. It's my daily driver, so I definitely don't want something obnoxious and I'm trying to stay away from "drone" issues. To me it seems like Borla puts a ton of R&D into there products. Which one would you guys go with in my situation? Any other ones I should look at? By the way I went through the sticky, tough call on all of them!

Thanks,

B6pilot

Any and ALL performance systems have drone, just a matter of picking one you can live with ...

I have a corsa cat-back on mine and absolutely love it.

My car is a daily driver that sees alot of highway miles. The drone is nonexistent cruising in 6th.

Corsa quality is excellent as well. The tips that came with mine are dual walled; so no discoloration. The mufflers came polished, and all the welds are impeccable.

Just looked at those, they sound great TOO....Damn all these choices! It might come down to which one I can get the best deal on.

Muffler delete has NO drone and sounds really good! Its actually not loud enough for me and I cant wait to get headers! But the muffler delet is cheap and sounds just as good as those crazy priced catbacks! The muffler delet still leaves your resenators on, and that gives the car a nice smooth deep sound, a little poping on decel. I would give it a try before you spend a bunch of money. Sound clips dont do it justice, I get asked what kinda exhaust I have all the time

i have the atak and love it. gives the car the sound that it should have from the factory. grest sounding exhaust, i would recommend the cat back and not the axel back if you have the money.

Watch this video. It is about the ATAK but has video of all three systems. It even has in cabin video starting at about the 4 minute mark. If you have any questions feel free to send me a PM.

I just read the thread about this. I'm actually thinking of trying it out. I figure at the most it will cost me $200 to try out. If it works great, If not oh well. I'll call around tomorrow to see if anyone can do it around me. Anybody know any good shops in central Florida?

muffler delete is cheap and good priced. i would only get a muffler delete if i was keeping a car stock . but when you add headers with muffler delete that sound can not match the sound of cat backs with headers... when adding headers you want some type of tone, not just loud.

and BTW i don't think you have driven a drone free system before. you add headers to a muffler delete it WILL drone

Do you think my Solo high flow cats will make a big difference in sound if I do this (Too loud)? Or am I just wasting my money, and I should just get the cat back already! That thread about the delete was very convincing.

the high flow cats do add allot of sound, with a muffler delete its going to be louder. me personally can handle it. buy my dad couldn't and it will drone

Thanks for the reply, I guess that's out. I know I'll have some drone in anything I do, but excessive drone will get to me. I'm leaning back towards the ATAK system. Is it me or do all the sound clips start to sound alike after awhile!
