how fast can it run.
Trying to compare my times to others. It seems my times are a little slow. Cant find my missing puzzle piece. Car dyno numbers were 436 rwhp 400rwtq. Car has tooley stage 3 cam, rotofab intake, pfadt headers, magnaflow 3 inch, 3200 yank stall 3.45 gears.. where can i improve or is it in my tune/ setup. I have major plans coming but i just want to see what i can get out of this setup. Ill list a couple slips.

One suggestion might be to do some suspension work and get your 60' down in the 1.6 range. That'll give you 2 tenths.
If part of your future plans include forced induction then the 3:45 gears will pay off, if FI is not in the plans then possibly 3:70 gears could be another alternative for a better ET. Bryan

I see your concern Smokum. You can pull your 60ft down to at least 1.6X and that should gain you about 2-4 tenths in the 1/4. But your 1/8 mph is down quite a bit especially for your hp?? That part I don't understand why your car isn't pulling. You should be very close to Sasquash's times. He had GT-11 cam and heads but also has a reflashed 3600 converter.
Might need to data log to see what's going on. Your car could be pulling timing or something? |

If I understand that cam, I would think that is an 11sec combo if you can launch it unless your tune isn't 'on'.

I would start by datalogging and watching timing and shift points.
And also agree with the 60' thoughts above. 1.6x's and that time drops and the mph will go up too. |

Im thinking its pulling timing due to detonation from too much timing. It is a 93 octane tune. But seems like its needing more octane. Maybe a shot of race gas is needed. When andy gets back in town im going to get him to do some data logging. Trans could use some work on its shifting also. I know its something because there are others running faster with less mods and worse 60 ft times. 1.83 im running is not terrible on a stock tire. I ran a 8.20 @91 in the eight awhile back. It seems to have got worse. 7.99 @ 88? No more track time till this gets fixed!

Like Jeff said log and check shift points and other stuff.
I don't have a cam and run 90.5 in the 1/8th. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yea data logging sounds like a good bet. Seems like you're loosing some up on the top end.
This is my personal best and I'm just intake, headers, no cats, cat back, drag radials, and a tune. |

Im thinking the dyno numbers are a little off also. Being the tranny was found to be low on fluid when it was on the dyno getting tuned. Torque seems a little low to me. It will be getting som data logging asap for sure. What software are people using to data log. Im going to get all my own setup soon. What works the best?

Some like HPT and some like EFI Live. I think Andy uses both? Maybe he can point you towards which one he likes best since he has experience with both.
I've been using HPT for probably 10 years and like it. |

We had talked already about hp tuners. Just wanted to see who liked what. That is probably the one i run also.

You are on stock tires correct?? If so, then your 60 probably won't get much better unless you get a great track prep. That's not a bad 60ft tho for stock tires.
You need some DR's then launch it harder. Then hopefully the data log will show whether you are detonating. |

I hear ya on that one. Im planning on installing a 15 inch wheel package. Small brake kit from adm. And running 275/60/15 mickey thompson tires. Then i know they wont spin. Only doing this once. Also going to need this for future mods.
