Borla Atak Quad Exhaust Tips

Hey guys, I want to add quad tips to my borla atak(cosmetic purposes only) and was wondering if this would change the sound of the exhaust and if its a hard/worth it job. Also what ones would be the best for this? I want ones that look just like the NPP. Thanks guys

I have muffler deletes but bought 4 inch quad tips staggered. I don't think it changes sound at all. I got the 1LE rear diffuser. Around $100 shipped new. The exhaust shop welded them on.

Maybe this will help... not Borla, but the SLP. I did the same thing to mine for just the looks.

I have the SLP catback exhaust was well and did the 1LE diffuser with the 4" tips. Didn't change the sound at all and those tips look bad ass coming out the back in, especially when it's a little chilly outside and you can see some smoke or vapor coming out.

Hate to bring an old thread back to life but borla apparently doesn't like to respond to questions. I already have the borla atak but I want to go quad tip while keeping the existing borla tips. Where can I find just the borla tip and would this even work?

Lol I think they didn't reply because your question doesn't make sense. But if I understood it correctly you can't do that you have to cut them off and weld something like this on: http://www.ebay.com/itm/STAINLESS-ST...oJOf2Q&vxp=mtr

What about the question makes no sense? I like the tips that come on the atak and think it'd be awesome if there was a way to modify it to have 4. The only thing I can think of being an issue is how big the tips are. Is that what you're referring to? I'd hate to have to cut these tips off becaude borla isn't cheap. Also if the question didn't make sense to them a simple can you clarify would have sufficed.

Yea man obviously you can't keep the tips on and modify it to have 4 think about it. How would you do that? Cutting the tips completely off and replacing it is the only way and you could sell the tips on here not for much though. They would also have to slightly bend the pipe or maybe relocate the hangers so the quad tips are centered to diffuser.

See this answer is much more helpful than borla's lack of an answer. I still have my stock catback are those tips also too big? And thanks for the response.

Now that I look at it I'm better off just getting the tips in the link you posted. How much do you think the borla tips are worth

I would say maybe $50 but I'm not really sure. Here is a picture of what I meant that after the tips are cut off the exhaust needs to be centered with the 1LE diffuser. As you can see it's all the way on the outside edge it needs to be in the middle for the quad tip to fit.
