Went with C6 Fuel Rail Covers

Posted this a few days back in general discussions, but forgot to post it for my 1LE brothers. Went with C6 LS3 covers, Katech Performance fuel feed line (you have to get the factory feed line out of the way for the covers to fit) and the custom raised lettering was done by GS Creations. I'm happy with how it turned out, but mostly happy to get rid of that blanketed engine cover. Another member here, Vince.Cuevas had also done this last year, so special thanks to him for fielding my questions. If you guys want to do it too, I'm glad to help answer your questions.

That really came out nice. What a huge improvement. Great job!

I do wonder why we have what is, in my opinion, a generic engine cover. V8? They didn't want to have to make both LS3 and L99 covers? 6.2L would have been a little better.

Thanks. Yes, the factory cover always rubbed me the wrong way. I initially swapped mine for a gloss black Hotwheels one, but still hated the blanket. There's a nice looking beast hiding in there, should be visible.

I just stumbled upon this thread as I'm looking to do the same mod. It seems Vince said you have to do the heater hose relocate (of which I can find plenty of threads, but no detailed step-by-step DIY instructions) but you're saying I'll have to also change the fuel feed line? Other than that, how hard are the necessary modifications to the fuel rail covers? what was your total cost (if you don't mind me asking)?

Thank you. They're OEM C6 LS3 Vette covers. I had custom lettering done by GS Creations in FL.

I'd love to, however, it will end up turning into a book with FAQs and a troubleshooting guide since there are several ways of achieving the same goal and different steps to take based on model year. And I simply don't have that kind of time. It's about a $500 project based on what I did. You can do it cheaper by foregoing the lettering, or building your own fuel feed line. I show my car, wanted a certain look. I also track it so I didn't want to cheap out with a DIY fuel feed line, save $50, but risk dying a fiery death. Anyway, I will gladly help out one on one, but will forego the book publishing
