After reading about a door ding thread in the 5th gen section I had to post this. Its not quiet a door ding, but actually far worse. This was on April the 1st 2008 when the 5th gen Camaro was just an idea. I had a V6 Mustang (owned a house and I trying to be sensible) at the time and I decided to go over to Wal-Mart to buy some soap.

I pull into my spot which, is next to a Ford conversion van. For some reason instead of pulling out the spot, the driver turns directly right into the right front fender of my car.

Turns out this is an uninsured motorist so I call PD on and hell breaks loose. The driver begs and pleads with me not to call but I was pissed and did it anyway.

In the end the driver got a citation and I had to pay my deductible which, I don't recall how much three years after the fact.

Wow.... that take a special kind of stupid right there... And good on you for call in the cops on his butt, woulda done the same thing.

The driver said they give me a check for a $1,000 dollars if I didn't call. Given the condition of their vehicle and state of insurance coverage I refused, that check would have been fools gold. Turns out this is someone that just got out of jail also.

This is the primary reason among many others may Camaro will never grace the presence of a Wal-Mart, only Costco in the back of the lot.

Dang, it sucks that people have no respect or any courtesy at all! I guess as a society, we're all doomed!!!

Just yesterday, my g/f got in a hit and run. My g/f told me that the person that hit her from behind looked like she was going to pull over as well, but just took off! She showed me that there was no big damage done to the rear bumper, but some scuff marks and the indentation of the license bracket bolt.

Luckily, I pulled out my PC and Adam's products and got rid of the scuff marks

Wait, so this van with its taped up rear taillight and all of its passenger side scratched up glory was already parked in that spot when you arrived and took the spot next to it.

I think the lesson here is to stay away from 20-foot-long vehicles that look as though the driver has a serious lack of skill...

Thankfully no, it was something I found in another thread. Apparently a forum member saw this at a local dealership. The driver got rear ended by an old man in a Lincoln.
