LSA help
OK so I installed my LSA and cam. Car started up and all was good. We tuned the car and it took a while to get it dialed in. The car sat for 3 hours and when I started it it was making a high pitch squealing noise. Almost like a belt. After the car ran for about a minute or less it went away.
If it was a bearing wouldn't it be doing it constantly?

Yes it would be doing it constantly if it was bearings!
Most likely belt squeal... check your tensioner marks to make sure it's tensioned properly

If a lifter turns sideways in the lifter tray, it will squeal just like what you described. They will do it. That's the worst thing I can think of and its not catastrophic . You'll know if the cam love goes flat or you'll hear the lifter making noise. Not the worst thing to have to fix.

Well the sound comes and goes. How could a lifter turn? They are held in place with the guides so the don't turn during operation. We tuned for 7+ hours never had one odd sound. Let it sit and it came up but shortly went away.
One think I do notice is that the belt is so tight the tensioner does not move.

Take a picture of the marks on the tensioner see we can see if you have the right size belt

Well I changed belt to one that is a bit longer. The sound has gone away. I started the car with out the belt and reved it several times to clear up being a internal issue. It's 6am here so I'm going to get some sleep. I'll post an update when I drive it tomorrow

Here are a few pictures. One is the tensioner the other is the supercharger pulley. I'm running a 2.8 pulley.

Idk what they where before the new belt. I never looked. I do know that the tensioner was maxed out and wouldn't move from the belt being so tight. Right now I've yet to hear anything. (Knock on wood)

Another day down and still everything is good. It's been raining all day and it chirps on for a second on start up. Water is getting all over it when sitting.
