Standing ovation for the Camaro!
So I go to the open house for Cars, Inc. in Rochester Hills this weekend, and it is packed! Driving down the industrial drive leading up to the show and a guy going the opposite way flags me down. He is from the Lion's Club and they are having a raffle for a 2010 Camaro. The dealership that was supposed to have a car there backed out at the last minute...could I park by their tent? I say no problem, pull in and the Lion's Club gives me a standing ovation. It must have been contagious, because the crowd starts clapping as well. Man, is this thing a people magnet! The whole day there were people checking it out, complimenting the car, and asking lots of questions. It's amazing how many people had no clue Chevy was making the Camaro again. Even some of those aware of the rebirth thought it was a GM demo car and not a privately owned vehicle. The Lion's Club thanked me over and over again for parking there. I didn't mind....got a primo spot right by the food and building for a show I thought I was not even going to be able to get into!
Another perma-grin day with the Camaro!

ANOTHER great story... I used to say this car is like driving around in a celebrity... Now we can add it's also like driving around in a VIP ticket, haha.
