2010 camaro v6 Vs 2008 gti
hey guys my friend has a 2008 volkswagen gti 4cyl turbo. He is always telling me that he can beat my v6 camaro that has a cai flowmaster axle back, vmax throttle body,mace 25mm and plenum spacer. my car is a auto and his is a auto with the DSG tranny. Who do you think would win in a race or on the drag?

If he's stock, you should have him. If he's tuned and has a down pipe and exhaust, he might take you.

Power weight ratio
Gti=211hp/1.45ton=145.5hpt Your v6=328hp/1.75=187.4hpt But dsg tranny shift much faster than you.also fwd cars loss less whp. So I'd say if you can lead him in 0-60,you should be no problem for 1/4. Do not run from a roll. You may win very little from a roll.

If all he has is an intake, I think you'll take him, but it's a driver's race honestly. If he's tuned, which I don't know too many people that spend $300 on an intake for a GTI but don't spen $500 for a tune that gives them 40whp and 80wtq, he will take you. Especially with the DSG.
