Moving South

Hi

I am relocating to Florida within the next 3 months to somewhere around the Clearwater area. For now I am looking for an apartment till I can move the rest of the household down. I am so looking forward to NO MORE SNOW!!

Anyone have any advice as to nice areas, nice dealers in this area, etc? Any comments are appreciated, I am kind of flying blind.. lol I am pretty much free to live wherever I want, my buildings will be basically between Dunedin and South Pasadena.

Thanks

Much of Clearwater, Largo, Dunedin is older as in 70's & 80's style homes and condos. There are plenty of nice places though. Some nice apartments not far from there would be on the border of Oldsmar / Tampa in the Westchase area and isn't far at all. Westchase is more quiet, less traffic and a bit more upscale.

The best local dealerships i know many have dealt with are Gordon and Ferman Tarpon for service. If you wish to drive a bit. Stingray Chevrolet in plant city is super nice. I go there myself. Huge dealership, very modern and an actual performance dealer.

I moved here from Michigan myself in 2001 and would NEVER go back lol.

PS. The Camaro community around here is very big and active.

I'm not even a customer of Stingray but got a flat tire one exit past them on I4. The receptionist was offering to come pick me up after her shift in 20min to take me to get some fix a flat since GM Roadside assistance would only send a flat bed and their parts department was closed. That was some awesome service.

I'm a Ohio transplant myself--definitely don't miss the cold and snow! We get to enjoy our beloved Camaros year-round down here. The only downside is all the miles some of us pile on (I'll hit 60K next week...just broken in ) . Welcome to Florida.
