Fbodfather, GM or Anyone Vins 20k-22k in QC - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

It is a fact that forum members with Manual transmissions and Vins in the 20,000-22,000 range have been in QC since the end of June. There is absolutly no movement for 2ss manuals! When will we know what the next step is for these manual transmission cars? They have been in QC since the end of June. These cars are absolutely not moving while all vins after these series have movement. Last week we were told that we would have info concerning cars with the m6 problem. The cars with problems were NEVER ADDRESSED. Just the cars that didn't have problems were released. Is the problem with these cars transmission or something else? If this is transmission related has the assessment of the problem been completed? Any info would be appreciated as to the next step for these cars and when they will start to move out of QC Hell.

Mods please don't fold this thread into the transmission thread as information has not been released as to the exact cause of this Vin Series (20k-22k)being held. This may or maynot be transmission related. That thread is a mess and has gone in 20 directions.

Who knows. They also said that production would not stop on MN6s. So why are all these MN6s going from 3400 back to 3000? Sounds like MN6 production is either stopped or severly slowed.

Seems to me that if it's JUST 2SSs then it would have to be one of the 2SS extras and not the tranny or drivetrain.

I was scheduled to be produced last week... according to the workbench i am still scheduled for 7/13 but and at 3400... although a member of the forum gave me my VIN 2G1FT1EW5A9127752, and said my car is half built. I am also an M6.

from what i hear vehicles are rolling out of qc each day...they have shit ton of cars there, and if their having to switch parts...that can be a hella long wait.

The cars in this Vin Range do not appear to be moving, just those built after. according to the Daily update.

I have a 1SS in my driveway right now with a manual and a vin of 20233 so maybe it is only the 2SS's

I have one (2ss/rs) in the 20-22 range.
I haven't dumped the clutch from 5k either.

If it is only 2SS and wasn't the transmission then why are 2SS auto's being shipped? Sounds like GM isn't being completely honest with the loyal customers and fans that have waited a long time already.....

This is PURE speculation, but what im guessing is since some SS's with the M6 are actually being bumped FORWARD there was a group of cars within a certain VIN and others with certain build dates that were assigned transmissions that have the problems others have experienced. Since the numbers on the trannies and motors are assigned to particular cars, they're probably waiting for a batch of new ones to be made...

or those cars could have burst into flames and are being rebuilt as we speak and they never told anyone... or they forgot they have them. could be anything.
