Installing harmonic balancer
Finishing up on my cam swap, i need to put the harmonic balancer pully back on.
I've read here to not use the stock crank bolt, or you could risk stripping the threads in the crank. I ran to Home Depot (only place open right now), but they dont have any M16 bolts or threaded rods. I have ARP crank bolts, which are about 1/4 inch longer than the stock crank bolt. Would this be safe to use, or do i still run the risk of stripping threads? If this isn't safe, could anyone tell me where to get M16 bolts or threaded rods? Looking forward to finishing this up and hearing that first startup. Thanks! |
