Deleted secondary cats, loss in low end torque?

Deleted my secondary cats, can’t tell if it’s my mind playing tricks on me since I’ve read a couple post of people losing low end torque when they deleted secondary cats, but I feel like I did? Opinions ?

I'll play. Your mind is playing tricks on you.

In a 4-stroke engine backpressure is not a good thing. The exhaust valves are closed during compression. What you want is good exit velocity for your exhaust. This helps with scavenging of exhaust gases from the cylinder during the exhaust stroke. If the exiting gases hit increased pressure the motor is then doing increased work to expel the gases. More work = less power and less torque.

Modern catalytic converters offer low restriction. At high rpm there is probably a small benefit in deleting them. I suspect the honeycomb construction blocks more noise than exhaust flow.

So basically it’s nothing to worry about, and it’s beneficial

Yes. The benefits are you removed some restriction and some weight.
The costs were your money and probably a bit more noise (which you might consider a benefit).
