Baby seat in the New Camaro?

Hey guys,

I found a buyer for my 300 SRT8 and am about to put my order in for a new SS...just wondering if there is anyone out there who has installed a baby seat in their new Camaro?

Thanks in advance

Manny

Just put the baby on the floor between the front and rear seats... it wont move. LOL jk of course.

It has the "LATCH" system so look into that.

Yes I have my son's car seat in mine. He is 17 months old, so he is facing forward and his plenty of room back there. Not as much as he has when we our in my 300 but you get my point. I will take a pic when I get home and post it for you.

Is it very difficult for you or your wife to get your son in and out of the car?

Thanks in advance.

It would probably be a good idea to bring your exact car seat to the dealership and see how well you can fit it in.

I have a car seat for my 2 year old in the back of mine and installing wasn't bad with it having the LATCH system. Only problem I have is that she like to put her feet up on the back of the front seat, so shoes come off when she gets buckled in.

No problems. 32 month-old son (who is almost out of his car seat at about 36" tall and ~40lbs) in the car seat passenger side (shoes off as noted above), and my 5'9" wife in front of him. Lots of room. LATCH good. Getting him in and out bit of a trick - same as any 2-door really.

We get our 9 year old and our 4 year old in his car sear in the back, he does have to take his shoes off though, he has the same bad habit of putting his feet on the front seat. We have a Graco (?) Nautilus which is a pretty good sized seat, but it completely breaks down over time to just a puck style booster ( several stages along the way ) and is built very well.

Here is a better pic, keep in mind that the front seat is pushed all the way back, we had just cleaned the car before I took the pictures.

Ohhhh I never thought about the feet touching the seats. My 16 mo old likes to kick her feet at the back of my hubby's truck seat. I will have to remember to take her shoes off too when I get the Camaro.

Just depends on the seat.... this is a larger seat, completely breaks down as the kid grows, that's part of the reason we bought it. One seat to get us all the way through...

okay team, it's holy thread revival time. Now that there are 200,000 plus Camaros on the road, i can't be the only one facing this dilema. My first child is due in october and we're in the process of picking out a car seat. Does anyone have a recommendation for a rear facing infant seat? I know that the Camaro has the LATCH system, so most car seats should function. But i also know that the front passenger darn near sits in the back seat, space is a luxury we were not afforded in the sheer awesomeness of this car. Any feedback on what works and what doesn't? I'm not for or against a travel system, we can afford to have a car seat for each car, so it doesn't have to be super portable. But, it does seem that travel systems are the most convenient method out there. What say you guys??
