RX Catch Can - Modified Mounting Bracket

I installed my catch can in a differnt location. I modified the bracket and used the bolt from the engine cover post bracket. This is a stronger mounting point than the plastic radiator, and I have no clearance issuses with any of the surrounding components or tubing, plus there's no need to trim the engine cover because the can sits much lower. I also left a little more of the factory PCV hose intact at the intake end.

Thanks, I used a spacer between the bracket and radiator. I like this better, what did you do to "modify" the bracket?

I used a grinder to remove a section of the bracket, cutting through the original hole, and to round off the corners in order to clear the surrounding bolts and brackets, then drilled a new hole. If I were to do it again, I would remove just a little bit more from the upper end of the bracket and drill the new hole a just fraction closer to the bend. You also have to alter the angle at the bend just a little in order to clear everything.

Here's a picture of the amount of oil that the catch can collected after 6,000 km. I'm sure glad it's no longer going into my engine.

That's where I mounted mine as well. I feel it is the best spot for it.

The v8's mount the bracket to the engine, so I'ld say it's a good mounting location for the LLT v6.
