Cell phone mount / iPhone

Anyone using this cd slot mount? Just ordered one. Will post photos and a review if anyone is interested. I was curious what I was going to do with that cd slot!

I looked at that one when I was researching mounts for my car but that one looks like will cover too much of the car's console and might be on the way if you are trying to do something in that area, so I got a mount that bolts to the passenger seat track and you can position it where ever you like and so far I love it, i can also use it for my ipad I just had to buy a different holder

Heck, I did the whole velcro thing and velcroed my Ipad to the pass. dash. it looks pretty clean and it only cost like 75 cents.

Didn't want to go with a goose neck as those tend to bounce I little when using the device. Didn't want Velcro permanently attached to my phone or iPad. Although a holster velcroed to the dash could be a clean solution.

I almost went with a vent mount simply because it was a great place to position the phone; for my taste. However, after reviewing he feedback and seeing the displacement away from the stereo, I thought I'd give this a shot. People really seem to love it (more so than other solutions) and there aren't too many stereos that wouldn't be blocked if it were too low profile. So we will see. The good news is most mounts are less than $25. So if I don't like it ... 86 it.

It's not mounted to the mirror. I used the navigation dock that came with the phone and mounted it as close to the mirror as possible.

I saw the proclip when googling "camaro iPhone mount". Definitely interesting. The vent is a great location. I'm in az and didn't want to block life support. I prefer to keep the phone in sight without blocking the already limited view (I.e. window mount). Anything below the radio I consider to be a challenge to use while driving. I'd really love to fabricate something a bit more custom for the camaro. If only I was retired!
