The rep. did say it does take they longer to develop systems for the cars because the dont just throw any muffler in a box and call it a system like some other manufactures due.
Is there a soundclip for the Flowmaster one? i am concerned it will be too loud, but the price is fair.

I would like to hear it as well. I have used Flowmaster 2 chambered mufflers with 3" pipes in the past on my '78 Z28 and '79 Camaro.

I'll be at the next club meeting on the 21st. If you don't make it, we can arrange to meet up some other time soon so you can get in on the group buy before the end of the month, if you like it.

Got my big old box today! Thanks SOLO! Nicely packaged and arrived without single bit of damage. Tomorrow, I'll call the shop that's going to do the install and dyno runs for me and see what's available in their schedule next week.

Hushpower alternative

If you like the Flowmasters, there are two new systems for the V6 2010 Camaros. One with Flowmasters and the other with Hushpowers. Both sound pretty good - but different mufflers make different sound - both make more power. check out the website videos. www.flowmastermufflers.com - youtube videos on V6 are there.

I had Flowmaster Hushpower (HP-2) mufflers on my old '56 Chevy and loved the sound of it. I'm considering going with them again on my 1LT. At $140 each, they aren't cheap but they'll tuck up under the car a lot better than the stock ones.

Anyone else planning on exhaust system changes?

Thanks but Flowmaster took way too long to get something to market for the V6. I went with the SOLO cat-back system and couldn't be happier.

That Flowmaster axle-back kit seems too quiet to me and still has that "tinny" sound when you get on it, just like the sound from the stock system that I wanted to get rid of.

YES.....I also had three 1956 Chevys....
No question about the sound of the 1950's I6 & mainly the V8 cars ...They were the BEST...... I have NEVER heard any modern V8 sound ANYWHERE nere the way those old V8's sounded......
For me the glass packs sounded the BEST on them...

We will NEVER come close to that today for many reasons. One main reason is the CATS!.....:(
