Question Floor Board Noise

Has anybody had a noise coming from the RF floorboard area at certian rpm's. It is a rattle/etching type noise. At first I thought it was the freon going threw the evaporator core, but I shut of the A/C and it was still there. It does it while driving or just bringing up the rpm's. I took it to my dealership and they ordered a 1 way valve to put in one of the heater hose. Has anybody else have this type noise and did the valve fix the noise.

I have but figured it is related to exhaust or something like that ... I really have no idea what causes it. Would love to get some advice on a fix though...

There is a TSB #09-01-37-001B or Document ID#2418515 out for a gurgle or rattle type noise coming from the instrument panel/heater core/transmission area. It states that coolant flow within the heater core may be causing the noise. the fix is to install a one way valve (GM P/N 10188036) into the inlet heater hose. I will find out if it fixed my noise in a few days when the part comes in.

I have this issue also, I notice if when you hear the sound and you shift to the next gear (i have the manual) the sound goes away until the RPM's get back up. Ive got 3k miles on my 2SS, the sound wasnt there for the first 1k or so. I'll check into the TSB

I have had this EXACT same issue. It drove me crazy. I ended up taking it to my local dealer, and they found that my heat shield was loose, so they adjusted it back into position and it seems to have fixed the problem.

Took my car to the dealership today, they installed the valve. I did not hear the noise on the way home so it seems to have fixed the problem.

Can someone give me specifics on what to tell me dealer to get this fixed? Is it the heat shield or the valve?

2SS here, and I have the same exact issue. Kind of irritating. I think I'll have the dealer look into it when it goes in for it's first oil change.
