RS package

OK, this has probably been posted already, but I just joined and could not find this topic. What is the advantage (besides resale value, which I will not be selling the car I DON'T have yet) of having the RS package? I don't see anything in the group that really appeals to me! Please enlighten me camaro gods!!

This is the RS Package:

Includes 20" x 8" front and 20" x 9" rear flangeless, painted aluminum wheels with Midnight Silver finish, body-color roof ditch molding, high intensity discharge headlamps and RS unique tail lamps. Also includes rear spoiler.

It's just up to your personal preference. I like the spoiler and halos, that's why I added it.

For me the halos would be a big issue to add later. Love the 20s. Like the rear lights better.

Here, let me enlighten you on why you want the RS package...

http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=20605

Compare pics in post #1 with pics in post #26. The improvement in visibility with the HID headlights alone should be enough to sway you to pay for the RS package.

I think its definitely worth it on the V6. On the V8 you dont get a whole lot. With that said I got because I liked the lights. But as far as real value probably not, more of a coolness factor. As far as resale if its a 1700 option now 4-5 years down the road you might get 500 for it

Ive said it before, and ill say it again. You cannot get a LT without the RS package. Well, you could. But it wasnt an option for me. The Spoiler was the biggest factor in me getting the RS package for my 2LT.

Ive said in other threads, that the RS package for the LT is a complete steal. If you are ordering an LT, you should get the RS package. On the other hand, if you are ordering an SS, you dont have to. If you order the SS, your already getting the tires, the Sterling Silver 20" wheels, Spoiler. You pay $1275 for HIDs, Roof Ditch Molding, and upgrade to Midnight Silver 20" Wheels.

I agree with Bryan...you get the LT, you need to get the RS Package. For what it does to the appearance of your car, it's well worth it.

well i bought the LT1 without the rs............only because i like the 19's and i want the dove tail spolier whenever it comes out. Also my car is black so the sunroof molding already matches and there will be plenty of aftermarket parts after a year or so for less $$$$

Didnt get the RS because of the Summer only tires and the HID's really dont do anything for me. I also prefer the LT front end. To each his own!
