favor- need a measurement

any of y'all owners or those with immediate access (sitting at a dealer)
the width of the camaro is 75.5" without mirrors. can ya'll let us know how far the mirrors protrude beyond the body or can we get an overall true width?

thanks!!!

If you look at the drawing at the bottom of the WIKI page it show shows the mirrors inline with the 75.5 width of the car. That is misleading. Anyone who owns or has seen the car in person knows the mirrors extend beyond the body panels.

If you look at the "Online Order/Reference Guide" it states 75.5 without mirrors.

I would really appreciate it if someone could get me an actual measurement or something that states width with mirrors.

The rear quarter panels and the mirrors are VERY Close to the same width, maybe 1 inch more on each side for the mirrors. I was looking at this specifically trying to figure out why they would not make the mirrors fold backs for safety. When the dealer and myself looked at the car from dead in front and looked back the mirrors barely went out past the rear quarters, if at all. So chances are if someone hits the mirror, they will also hit the rear quarter.

I believe the mirrors do NOT stick out.

As the proud ower of a new Camaro I can report that from tip to tip of each mirror the width is exactly 82 inches as measured by my trusty Stanley tape measure. And yes they do stick out past the body.

ALSO please note that the passenger side mirror is slightly wider than the drivers side mirror.
Passenger side mirror width is 9.25 inches
Driver's side mirror width is 8.50 inches

Yeah I never thought that front-view pic was very accurate, because every time I see those mirrors they look like big giant ears and they just stick out like a sore thumb... :(

I wonder how difficult it will be to access the ATM and similar stuff? Since the mirror sticks out so far, and the door is "in" toward the car more than the rear... seems like it will be quite a stretch to reach it. That concerns me more because at work I have to scan my keycard every morning to open the gate to the parking garage... :(

But either way, I still can't wait for my car
