Sorry I made other plans for tomorrow, after the lack of interest for the meet.

That's it, it's done, over, finished.... I wanna cry

It was a sad day.... (Ok it was a week ago but I've been busy). Dirty Angel has officially began her winter sleep. As I said above and in other spots I knew the month of November would be terrible busy for me and the last thing I wanted to be doing was trying to wash/wax/prep her for storage on the very few spare days I will have between now and Christmas and I certainly didn't want to be doing that in the s**w (for Frank). So 2 weeks ago I decided to take her for one last rip and then spent the rest of the day washing, waxing and prepping. After leaving her for a full week to ensure 100% dry I zipped up the car jacket/bag last Saturday. Which means I won't be seeing that beautiful IOM paint until April sometime. Oh well, at least work will keep my mind off it .

OK 'nuf of that. Since , here's the pictures!

OK here she is after her last coat of Zaino for the season. Lookin' good! What this doesn't show is all the time I spent detailing the interior too. Sta-Bil double dose in the fuel. All fluids checked. Tire pressures overinflated about 5lbs. Probably some other things I'm forgetting....

Garage cleaned, Car bag rolled out and positioned.

In position. Notice windows down about an inch. Damn that's shiny!

Rotor shot. The claim is the car comes out of the bag 6 months later as clean as it went in. Shiny rotors and all. So here's the before picture. After picture to follow... in 6 months (Parked her on some squares rubber)

Don't have major mouse problems - but took all precautions this year. Stainless steel scour pads makes good rust-free mouse proofing.

Battery removed (below) and placed in suitable storage location on tender (not shown). Important - Tie string on trunk emerg. release and run into cabin.

Decided to block her. Not totally. Took about 50-60% of the load off suspension/tires. Necessary? Maybe not but probably can't hurt.

Hugger cover goin' on. Bye-bye baby! :(

Moisture absorbent packets placed inside car/trunk and under car. Car Jacket/Bag zipped up. I even sucked some of the extra air out with the shop vac. Obsessive? Nah.

Wouldn't it be easier to just leave the doors unlocked and the back seats down?

Doors are unlocked and backseat is down. But I didn't want to crawl through the backseat into the trunk.

wow, scott, you officially made the thread depressing! lol I miss my car but im not doing the battery disconnect thing, damn winter storage has too many opinions that its completely confusing! Mine will be getting minor mods throughout the winter so she'll have to wake up a few times. I mean you cant always sleep in or nothing will ever get done Next on the mod list, SS exhaust. After is either CAI or droop springs from Eibach or Pfdat!
Let the modding BEGIN

Seals out dirt, dust, fresh oxygen, fresh ozone, UV rays, critters and most importantly, moisture. Moisture absorbant inside the bag lowers moisture content inside the bag and keeps it low.

My next house will have sufficient room for all the toys. Eventually I'll need room for 1 of each generation

Don't like superchargers - the sound that is. Was thinking a cam might be nice. Someone at the Oshawa meet had one. Sounded nice and lumpy

Well, the seasonal day I dreaded has arrived; "FANCY" has been put into hybernation, whereby she will get some rest, for the upcoming Spring season.

Here is big brother "TAZZ" standing next to her, before she goes away

Here she is resting comfortably, with her feet off the cold ground & her battery disconnected.

Here she is all covered up, nice & warm, sleeping peacefully

Until next Spring.
