I have to remove the perf cover on the track as it is a heat sink. lol I think I will do something on the CAI cover(I know some dont like enclosed) I went with this one bc I live in central Texas and frankly far more practical. Again it is about preference and damn it it is my money and car. lol It has added +3mpg which is good since I do track the car. I would guess it hit hp as well as I am getting 527.759 to the wheel. Not too shabby for stock. Out of money at this point so more to come..... Thanks for sharing. Where did you buy yours?

I do recommend professional install. You don't want it flying off. It is about 45-hour labor. They spent more time doing the tow hooks.

Has anyone found different color struts or painted the ones that come with it? I have an all black zl1 and would love to have them in black as well.

As for a different color you may be able to send yours into be anodized in black or black chrome but that will come with a heavy price. You can go with a different company's rod in a black and make it work but will certainly be a less fancy design. The rods themselves are not cheap. |

I wound up taking the fascia off to install color shift halos so I completely redid it right. Originally I secured some big washers behind the grill slats and secured the rods to them. Never was right though. Pull the front off. Follow the DYI and you will be fine. I have had mine off a few times now.
