Camaro rebates coming?

When I canceled my black/black 2ss/rs order, the dealer gladly accepted. Their words were "we can easily sell this car".

I look on their website, and it's still there. The week it got there it was listed for 5k over MSRP. It's now listed at MSRP on their website (internet price).

Driving by a few other dealers, they are starting to stock them. Are the deals coming anytime soon?

You guys are lucky. As far as I know, the closest dealer to me doesn't have any available on the lot.

If you live up north I can see why they may still have it. Winter is coming. In the southern states they aren't staying on lots long. I don't expect to see any rebates until at least next year.

You see rebates when the car gets a few price increases.

Again I'm in the upper midwest. Minneapolis MN.There are 50 2SS's within 25 miles of my house. Most colors and some autos and some manuals. Very good selection.
Some are asking MSRP some are discounting 1000.00 to 1500.00. I don't know if they would go any lower as I've never made a firm offer to buy. What caught my eye yesterday was a 4000.00 cash rebate on the 2009 Corvette. Brings the base price down to around 41k. Now there is a lot of car for the money!!!!

Once demand goes down you will see rebates. IMHO you will not see any sort of rebates for a minimum of 12-months + reason why at this time dealerships still cannot get any Camaros to stock. Here in Orlando, FL we have 5 Chevrolet dealerships w/ in 20 minutes of each other and if you are lucky 1-2 of them may have one on the lot for a day or so, most just do not have any allocation or as quickly as they order them they are on the way out to customers.

You have the Camaro convertible coming w/ in the next 12-36 months, plus the Z/28 version, and maybe the TT V6 model.

Figure this GM is selling the Camaro with no direct advertising just word of mouth and what people see at auto shows, dealer show rooms, and the street.

Your best bet is to take advantage of GMS if you can and the 60-day guarantee rebate or you may have to wait 1-2 more years until demand wears off

There are many Mass and CT dealers that have 10+ cars in stock in the show room and on the lots. They cant seem to get rid of them up here.

Shaheen Chevrolet in Lansing had a few SS's on the lot when I drove by last weekend and they are listed on their website as well.

Winter time is going to kill a lot of sales as some people don't believe they can drive this car year 'round (Corvette folks are the same way...so I'm not pointing fingers, just making a point). As the northern dealers keep getting cars and stockpiling them til springtime and southern dealers see the fad fading...you'll see more and more on lots. There is only so much demand out there and the pipeline is churning cars out pretty quickly these days...so eventually supply and demand will equalize and then you will see rebates...just as you do with the corvette.

That may explain why I've been driving mine (daily driver) for over 4 months and still haven't seen another one on the road.

I drove by Belise Chevy the other day on the way home from Unos Chicago Bar and Grill in Springfield and saw about 6 in the show room and another 4 or 5 out on the lot. I get email updates from them a couple times a month asking me to come in and test drive one and setup a meeting with the Sales manager. They seem pretty desperate to get rid of them.

I got the USAA 750 rebate as well as the 500 for foregoing the 60-day return policy. This is in an area where the deals were consistantly 5-7K above MSRP. I am not sure if those count as "rebates" in the sense that you are referring to... Don't be afraid to look out of town. I did for this car and my previous "pony car" and the net savings were well worth the effort... I only went 40 miles out of town for my SS and it saved me 7K...

In lieu of the 60 day exchange GM policy, you can opt to receive $500 off your total price. Make sure you bring it up to the FINANCE manager so they they don't try to sell you some crap warranty by taking $500 dollars off of it if you agree to sign a "rebate." Thay tried to pull it on me and I caught her when I asked to see paperwork. They'll have to show you a two-page contract explaining the $500 dollar credit.

They are all over up here. Just gotta pick your color.......

And some are 1,500 or so under msrp, others 1,000, others msrp. All depends on the dealer.

Seems dealerships up north have better stock than dealership down in non-winter/snow states like Florida, Texas, Arizona, Nevada, and Caliornia. I am sure over the winter sales will be a bit slower in the snow states who wants to buy a sports car in the Winter if you cannot drive it

I have a feeling I will be using my sunroof a lot down here in Florida this winter
