There may be a little pause in responding as SEMA was this week/weekend.
So, you may be getting replies back this week. I hope!!! If they want the business and to be a good company, they need to take of these problems first.
It may have been a shipping issue as well? Looks like the hood was dropped a couple of times on all sides?? I'm not covering for Revolution, just saying that shipping may have played a part.

This is very disappointing. They make the best looking after market hood and splitter IMO. I hope they get things straighten out. I look to be a future customer when I get my camaro.

I agree with the hood and front chin spoiler. They look the best in my opinion.
But, let's see how this stuff plays out.

Wow thanks for the feedback guys. I was preparing to order tonight, but read the entire 32 pages...then saw the problems. I don't have a problem with damaged shipments but.....I have a problem with the lack of comunication. Not ordering...I'll find something else...

Well I can't speak for everyone... But I'd give em some time to atleast get back from SEMA.

Personally I haven't recieved my Hood yet, but I wasn't expecting it to ship out until they return from SEMA.

I've had good communication back and forth with Tommy @ Revolution and he's been a cool guy to talk to...

Considering this stuff wasn't even a finished product yet, and was still being finalized while preparing multiple cars for SEMA and having a long list of customer Hoods to be shipped out all at once...Plus contacting all the pre orders to see who was still interested... That is one crazy circus to try and get in order.... Not sure how many guys are doing all of that... But it seems Tommy has been doing a big share on his own, as I've only been hearing from him. These guys also are not a huge corp. like GM with tons of people available to deal with Customers at any given second. A little more patience is kind of necessary when dealing with smaller companies.

I don't know about you guys but even dealing with GM. My camaro came months later than expected and my GFX was 2 months later than my car. And my Engine Cover has yet to arrive.... so if GM is THAT late, I'd say revo is doing just fine.

Sorry about the Post in regards to the damaged hood, I am sure that'll get straightened out one way or another and it's unfortunate you have to wait longer.

As others have mentioned Shipping is likely a huge factor here. I sincerely doubt any Vendor is going to ship out damaged goods or ship goods in a way that they will obviously be damaged willingly as it is not difficult to imagine that if you ship out bad products, people will get on here and talk and there will be things to deal with....
That said, I doubt the Revo guys intentionally sent out bad goods or are intentionally not at the office to respond (while they are in transit from SEMA/Vegas)

Anyways, I don't know enough about the whole situation to speak with authority, just figured I'd tune in with my POSITIVE feedback before everyone goes all panicky, since I personally feel that I have been having a good experience in dealing with them under the circumstances.

It's not really fair to rag on someone who isn't around to respond. I'd have waited for them to atleast return. Whether or not someone is in the shop, it seems that Tommy deals with a lot of it, and him not being there is enough to kind of assume you shouldn't be expecting a response until he gets back.

Good luck everyone, with getting your Hoods & other parts, and to the Poster who had the damaged hood.

I am still excited to be getting a Revolution Hood. Hopefully I have a better experience with Shipping since I am not far from Seattle.

I like the stuff as well, but shipping it that distance is scarry.

Hope someone local in Calif. makes something similar.

Thanks Swifty. You just saved me a lot of money. How a company treat customers after a purchase speaks volumes to me. There is no excuse for this - If they can't respond properly to phone calls then they shouldn't have gone to SEMA. Poor management. This is exactly why sites like this are valuable - I work to damn hard for my money to take chances on a company that can't or won't return phone calls.

I am still excited to be getting a Revolution Hood. Hopefully I have a better experience with Shipping since I am not far from Seattle.
Let me clarify a few things here...

First, I like Tommy. He's a really cool guy, and I've had good conversation with him. I know he has good intentions, and I'm not questioning his integrity in regard to sending me defective equipment. I know the potential for products being harmed when they're shipped long distances, although I do wonder who it was who packaged the hood in the first place. I also understand his precarious situation in regard to running around like the preverbial chicken trying to get the product line in order. He basically got in over his head initially because his potential product line is so sweet, that when everyone saw his stuff they wanted to jump on the train to buy his product. I still would like to have what he has to offer, because I believe in what he's trying to do. If he makes things right for me, then he will keep me as a customer.
What I want him to understand is the fact that, as a business, you MUST take care of your customer, regardless of SEMA or whatever show you're preparing for.
FYI...I was promised that my second hood would be sent to me almost 3 weeks ago, and with the promise of a tracking number. Since then, I have made numerous calls and sent numerous PMs with minimal response. My credit card was charged in the beginning of September. Businesses do NOT stay afloat when you do not put an emphasis on customer service in answering questions, giving timely follow-up, and meeting timelines (even if it's just a courtesy call for follow-up when you say that you're going to call your customer.)
Again, I'm a believer in what Tommy's doing for our Camaros, and I'm open to him making things right and will sing his praises should he make things right with me. I've held out quite some time before posting what I did yesterday.
Until then, I'm going to look out for my fellow camaro owners and give them the "low down" on what's going on with the vendors out there selling product. This is a lot of money to spend, and I think I speak for many out there when I say that all I want is to be treated well when I spend that hard-earned money.
It's not about having a "positive outlook," but about having a good business relationship with those who you spend your money with.
As of right now, I'm waiting for that phone call from Tommy to make things right for me...and whether or not that happens, I will keep all of you updated.

Drive hard, and burn rubber

Although my hood was to come in painted, it wasn't but the work performed in making the hood received a rare compliment by the body shop that it was sent to for shipping. This place isn't just some average body shop but does work on some of the finest custom cars here in Louisville. I was told almost all hoods they get in need work to fix defects in their construction but this one needed only block sanding.
I saw the damage to the hood by another forum member. Just my opinion, no amount of bubble wrap was going to stop that amount of damage from occurring. You may look at another shipper with insurance as it wasn't anything you did to cause that damage. It must have had something to fall hard on it. Mine is still in the box awaiting funds to pay for a paint job. Revolution's price painted was $200 cheaper than I can find here in Louisville, KY.
I do have one question though, what to do about the open scoop? My Camaro is a DD and I can not have rain on my engine.

Well, I just got off the phone with Tommy and the guys at Revolution are in the process of making things right for me.
It may be a short time, as they're going to throw in a chin spoiler for all the hassle, and they're going to see if they can package everything together. If not, then they'll have to send them seperately. Regardless, I wanted to let everyone know here on the forum know not to panic, and that you may want to hold off on cancelling your orders altogether. It may take them a bit of time as they're in the process of catching up with all the existing orders they've got.
I'll keep everyone informed on the progress with my stuff.
